Geet Ramayan

G. D. Madgulkar wrote the verses and Sudhir Phadke set them; between them they gave Maharashtra a Ramayana it could sing. Nishad performs it as a two-hander — Chandrashekhar Mahamuni singing, Dr. Rahul Deshpande speaking — on audio-visual tracks.

It opened on Ram Navami in March 2023 and has not stopped: a staging for the inauguration of the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, a seventh outing by April 2024, a house-full night, a first visit to Nashik, and a performance sung as an offering before the deity at the Peshwa-era Tulshibaug temple in Pune.
